DuPont™ Sontara^® Nonwoven Wipers 

Since wiping needs and required levels of cleanliness differ for each customer, DuPont™ has created a range of micro-level cleaning fabrics by spunlaced "Hydroentanglement" of fibers such as wood-pulp, polyester, rayon and/or lyocell. Each of these fabrics has different inherent properties like linting, absorbency and strength. For cost effectiveness, it’s important to find the best match between application and fabric. The following table should help you determine the best wiper fabric for your application.

Sontara^® wipes:

• Contain no binders and are low linting. They are low in extractables and ion
  content
• Can absorb 4-6 times their weight in water. They also readily absorb oil and
  solvents
• Stand upto most solvents or cleaning agents without disintegrating. In test after
  test, Sontara^® wipes have proved to be amongst the strongest nonwoven, wet or dry
• Fabric has inherently high mechanical integrity and possesses excellent  abrasion
  resistance
